Big cyber ideas: Digital demo day
Wednesday 27 October 2021
2:00PM – 3:00PM
About the event
For budding entrepreneurs looking to develop their knowledge of startups and innovation, the Tasmania Cyber Security Innovation Node is running the Big Cyber Ideas Challenge to coincide with Australian Cyber Week 2021.
A cash prize of $2,500 will be awarded to the winning entry.
Delivered through a partnership with Enterprize, the Big Cyber Ideas Challenge introduces participants to world’s best practice principles in early-stage startup development.
Trained facilitators will teach the basics of how successful startups are built, how ideas can be validated, and how ideas should be pitched for investment.
Participants will complete two to three hours of online coursework in early October, then record and submit a 60-90 second video pitch of their idea.
A panel of cyber security and startup experts will judge the submissions based on market need, degree of innovation and scalability, and the entrant’s capacity to deliver their idea.
The Big Cyber Ideas Challenge will conclude with a Digital Demo Day showcasing the entries during Australian Cyber Week on October 27 where the winner will be announced.
